📢New obligations for battery manufacturers from February 2026.
🔸New information requirements regarding carbon footprint declarations for selected industrial batteries will come into force on February 18, 2026. This is just one element of the broad reform introduced by EU Regulation 2023/1542, which significantly changes the rules for the design, marketing, and recycling of batteries in the EU.
🗞️The Sozosfera portal published an article devoted to the most important obligations arising from the new regulations - from the carbon footprint, through the battery passport and QR codes, to due diligence requirements in the supply chain.
