New EC guidelines on the verification and accreditation of CBAM

📃 This week, the European Commission published new guidelines on CBAM verification and accreditation for verifiers and national accreditation bodies.

🔍 The guidelines are intended to help understand the requirements of the CBAM Regulation, and in particular to explain the verification process and its principles. The document also outlines the obligations and requirements for national accreditation bodies and verifiers.

🔶 The Commission also published the procedure specifying how CBAM verifiers can access the CBAM Register from 1 September 2026.
