\ud83c\udfed The 1st Congress of Polish Industry is behind us \u2013 an event that brought together representatives of key sectors of the Polish economy, industry organizations and public administration around one of the most important questions: how to stop deindustrialization and rebuild the competitiveness of Polish industry?<\/p>\n
\ud83c\udfa4 We had the honor of co-moderating the debate "The future of Polish industry: how to stop deindustrialization and rebuild competitiveness?", which was led by partners of our law firm \u2013 Beata Superson-Polowiec and Piotr Kolasa.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udde8\ufe0f The discussion demonstrated that regardless of the industry represented \u2013 from steelmaking, through chemicals, paper and cement, to the lime sector \u2013 the challenges are common. High energy costs, growing regulatory burdens, the EU ETS system, grid fees, and the need for effective financing of the energy transition are all issues that directly impact the competitiveness of Polish industry today.<\/p>\n
\ud83c\udf99\ufe0f The call for real dialogue between industry and public administration was particularly resonant. Entrepreneurs aren't expecting further diagnoses\u2014they're expecting solutions. Importantly, many of these have already been developed and presented during the Congress in the form of specific proposals.<\/p>\n
\ud83e\udd1d As a law firm that has been supporting industrial and energy-intensive companies for years, we recognize the importance of creating a space for substantive conversation between businesses, regulators, and decision-makers. We are pleased to have been part of this process and to have contributed to the discussion, which we hope will translate into concrete legislative and regulatory action.<\/p>\n
